The 14^th EMAC is organized by the Research Institute on Archaeomaterials (IRAMAT-CRP2A), a joint laboratory of the French National Center for Scientific Research and Bordeaux Montaigne University.

The IRAMAT-CRP2A is part of the Bordeaux Archaeological Science Cluster of excellence (LabEx). This 12 M€ project brings together three research units from the universities of Bordeaux that are specialized in the field of archaeology. Different disciplines (archaeology, history, classics, material sciences, biology, geology, anthropology, digital humanities) have benn brought together in a common federative and innovative project, with no equivalent in France.
